Our Story
How We Create Change
Founded in February 2024 in Floral Park, New York, the Martí Youth Foundation was born from a deep-rooted vision to address educational disparities in the Dominican Republic. After witnessing firsthand, the lack of resources available to young people in Puerto Plata, our founders realized that a formal commitment was necessary to generate lasting change. What began as a passion for children’s well-being has grown into a 501 (c)(3) non-for-profit organization founded on the conviction that education is the ultimate catalyst for generational transformation.
Our Mission
Marti Youth Fundation is to continue providing better opportunities for underprivileged children in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. We stand committed to helping forge a brighter future through education, cultural and/or sports programs in addition to medical assistance if needed. We guide these children to holistically understand the importance of personal integrity, life choices, responsibility in community involvement in conjunction to their academic development. With focus on these goals, the Marty Youth Foundation will continue to provide private school scholarships for these children with the funds generated from this wonderful event. Currently, we are proud to have presented scholarships to ten deserving students distributed among two K-12 private schools.
Our Vission
Our journey began with a simple observation: too many children in Puerto Plata lacked access to the quality education they deserve. Driven by a deep love for the community and a vision of a healthier, better-educated youth, we spent years planning an organization that could bridge this gap.
In February 2024, that vision came to life in Floral Park, NY. We believe that by investing in a child’s education today, we are securing a better future for their families and the entire province of Puerto Plata.
